Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup filtered water (adjust as needed)
  • Breast milk or formula (optional, for a smoother consistency)

Equipment

  • Silicone Baby Food Smart Container with Lid
  • Steamer or Saucepan
  • Blender or Food Processor
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Measuring Cup

Method

  1. Wash, peel, and chop the sweet potatoes and carrots into small pieces.
  2. Steam the vegetables for about 15–20 minutes until they are soft and easily pierced with a fork.
  3. Transfer the cooked vegetables to a blender or food processor.
  4. Add the filtered water gradually and blend until smooth and creamy. Add more water, breast milk, or formula if needed to reach your baby's preferred consistency.
  5. Allow the puree to cool completely.
  6. Spoon the puree into each compartment of your silicone freezer tray, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  7. Secure the lid and place the tray in the freezer for 4–6 hours or until frozen.
  8. Once frozen, keep the portions in the tray or transfer them to a silicone food storage container for longer storage.
  9. Reheat only the portion you need until warm (not hot), stir well, and check the temperature before serving.

Notes

  • Introduce each ingredient separately before combining them to check for allergies.
  • Do not add salt, sugar, or honey.
  • Always supervise babies while feeding.
  • Discard any leftover food that has already been served to your baby.
