Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (Optional for babies over 8 months, consult your pediatrician)
  • Breast milk or formula (Optional)

Equipment

  • 4-Compartment Food Grade Silicone Freezer Tray with Lid
  • Saucepan
  • Blender or Food Processor
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Cup
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board

Method
 

  1. Peel, core and chop the apples into small cubes.
  2. Add the apples and water to a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes until soft.
  3. In another saucepan, cook the rolled oats according to package instructions until creamy.
  4. Combine the cooked apples and oats in a blender.
  5. Blend until smooth, adding small amounts of water, breast milk or formula if needed.
  6. Allow the puree to cool completely.
  7. Pour the puree evenly into each compartment of your 4-compartment silicone freezer tray.
  8. Cover with the lid and freeze for 4–6 hours.
  9. Pop out individual portions whenever needed and serve after reheating.

Notes

  • Do not add sugar or salt.
  • Introduce apples and oats separately before combining.
  • Always check the puree temperature before serving.
  • Adjust consistency according to your baby's age.
